Beyond Sport 2016: 10 Roundtables

Beyond Sport is a global organisation that promotes, supports and celebrates the use of sport to address social issues in communities around the world. A central pillar of Beyond Sport is the annual Beyond Sport Summit, which provides a platform for bringing together key stakeholders from across the worlds of sport, business, government, and development to celebrate and promote the ways in which sport can be used as a tool to achieve both social and business objectives.

The 2016 Beyond Sport Summit took place in London, and with the theme of Innovation for the Summit it was vital that the Summit experience reflected this. CoCreate were brought in to work with Beyond Sport on the development of a new format called 10 Roundtables. This high profile event was invite only, bringing together senior decision makers from the worlds of sporting NGOs, business, elite sport and governmen to have a productive discussion on how sport could be used to tackle issues that ranged from youth leadership and mental health to the refugee crisis and creating ethical sporting mega-events. No pressure then!

The result? A perfect example of the CoCreate ethos, working in close partnership with our client Beyond Sport to design and facilitate a highly interactive, challenging and productive series of discussions that all led to tangible actions. Chatham House rules prevent us reporting on the outcomes. However, here is one of the high-profile sporting attendees to share his view of the experience.

Attendee Experience
"Andy from CoCreate hosted and facilitated the discussion with effortless brilliance. 10 simultaneous round table discussions, with many senior, authoritative people, was co-ordinated seamlessly and with incredible results. I shall be seeking CoCreate's services for future events."
