Challenge

McGill Universities International Masters in Health Leadership programme offers unparalleled professional development for leaders from over 15 countries worldwide. In 2023 CoCreate was asked to lead a re-development of the 10-day Collaborative Mindset module of the programme.

Programme

The CoCreate team decided that the ‘Collaborative Mindset’ had to be experienced by participants. We therefore blended relevant theory (including Three Horizons, Design Thinking and Systemcraft), keynote speakers and skill development (including coaching, facilitation, consulting, storytelling) with live consulting projects, where groups of IMHL participants work with leaders from across a wide range of organisations working in the UK health and social care sector on live challenges related to delivering integrated care. The module closed with a powerful session where IMHL groups presented back to their NHS ‘clients’ and reflected on their shared experience of collaboration in action.

Impact

Feedback from the cohort has been exceptionally positive, with participants benefitting from the blend of theory, practice and live application throughout the module. The impact of the Psychological Safety module was so profound that CoCreate have been asked to lead the opening session for the incoming IMHL cohort.

Client experience

The module was just superb and exceeded my expectations! You are a wonderful team and worked so well together and with the students. All I have heard from participants so far was how well it all went!
