Valid Insight iEQ9 Team Development
Challenge
Valid Insight, part of the Bioscript Group, is a rapidly growing scientific communications and market access consultancy. With a fast-expanding client portfolio, their challenge is keeping pace – balancing client demand with the capacity of a growing team, integrating new hires quickly, and ensuring the whole team is aligned to deliver consistently high quality work.
Programme
CoCreate partnered with Valid Insight to design a programme of development using the iEQ9 tool, culminating in a two day offsite. As a virtual team spread across Europe, and with several new joiners, for many this was the first time they had met colleagues in person. To accelerate the building of trust and relationships, ahead of the offsite, each team member completed the iEQ9 assessment and received a personal debrief of their report — exploring their drivers, strengths, fears, stress triggers, and likely responses to change and conflict.

At the offsite, we built on this foundation by:
- Building appreciation for different Enneagram types, gaining insight into our different motivations and what drives our behaviours
- Developing greater confidence to both support and challenge one another effectively
- Using the iEQ9 Team Report to identify collective strengths, blind spots, and opportunities for improved performance
- Working together to close those gaps and co-create ways of working that increase team effectiveness
Impact
The offsite highlighted the immense value of in-person time for this virtual team. Trust and relationships visibly strengthened, and the shift was immediately evident in the quality of discussions — more open, more constructive, and more collaborative. The depth of the Enneagram encouraged a level of vulnerability that invited the team to stay curious and genuinely open to learning about one another. This created the conditions for deeper empathy, greater psychological safety and stronger collaboration.
Using the iEQ9 Team Report, the group identified three areas of their work where collaboration could be strengthened to enhance both team performance and client outcomes. They left with clear, practical commitments in all three areas, creating alignment and momentum for the months ahead.
